The Sports Committee at Pillars Mosque is dedicated to cultivating a thriving culture of movement, wellness, and community within our masjid.
Rooted in faith and driven by service, we design programs that uplift the mind, strengthen the body, and connect the heart — ensuring that every participant feels supported on their journey toward holistic well-being.

Our sports programming also extends to outdoor activities, mentorship-based athletic events, tournaments, and specialized workshops designed for youth, sisters, brothers, and families.

Theresa Krumah

Meet Our Sports Committee Lead

Theresa Krumah is a purpose-driven leader dedicated to fostering mental, physical, and spiritual well-being through movement, education, and community-centered programming.
She holds a B.S. in Sport Science and Fitness Management from North Carolina A&T State University and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Strength & Conditioning at UNC Charlotte.

Theresa is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, and Virtual Coaching Specialist, using her expertise to guide the Sports Committee in building impactful, inclusive, and faith-rooted wellness initiatives.

A) Youth Programs

🏀 Youth 3v3 Boys Basketball Tournament & Skills Challenge

Hosted at the Huntersville Recreation Center, this competitive event brought players from across the community together for growth, fun, and teamwork.

💪 Youth Strength & Conditioning Workshops

Hands-on athletic sessions led by mentors and coaches, focusing on strength, confidence, and healthy training habits.

A fun family event promoting teamwork, leadership, and community spirit.
